Wynnum Closed 2025 - Recap

Thank you to the 32 players who took part in the Wynnum Closed on Wednesday night! Despite the hot and humid conditions, the atmosphere was fantastic, with plenty of great table tennis on display. This event also served as a trial run for the upcoming Wynnum Smash. We were pleased to see that the format worked smoothly, with four matches fitting perfectly into the three-hour window. A big congratulations to Ben Whelan, who claimed the Wynnum Closed title — well done, Ben!

Growing Our Youngest Stars

Our 4–7 year old group is going from strength to strength! We’ve been especially successful at welcoming the children of players and the siblings of our juniors, helping to create a fun, family-friendly pathway into table tennis.

Learning from the Best

On Friday, August 22nd, we had the privilege of welcoming Joao Neves, former National Junior Head Coach for Portugal and now Loops Head Coach, alongside national championship medallist Yousef Hassan.

QLD Veteran Results

16 Wynnum players took the field in the 2025 Queensland Veteran Championships, featuring 7 debutants.

Social Tournament - Q2 - Results

Our latest social tournament took place on Friday 27th June, and what a night it was! 32 players competed in teams of four, with each player taking part in one singles and one doubles match per round.

Hall 50th Celebration
